Job Description

As a Security Officer - Route Driver Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech data center location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and badge checks, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Bring your customer service mindset to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a high-tech data center location.
Control access to the facility by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in, and documenting arrivals and departures per site policy.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, supporting evacuations, and completing detailed reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, loading areas, parking areas, and critical infrastructure spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, investigate irregular conditions, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
CPR Certification - preferred.
Customer Service Experience - preferred.
Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
