Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Unarmed Patrol in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will document and communicate observations, respond to requests, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients at a tech, media, and/or telecom location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the business footprint and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification, and documentation in accordance with post orders.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership and documenting per policy.
Complete routine reports and activity logs, communicate relevant information during shift handoff, and support client and Allied Universal requirements for incident reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
