Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Logistics in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. Your presence and routine patrols will help maintain order, while your strong communication and customer service skills will contribute to a positive experience for everyone on site. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within logistics and distribution locations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the site.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access, adapting to the unique environment of logistics and distribution operations.
Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or potential hazards observed during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers as part of daily interactions.
Document observations, incidents, and/or actions taken during the shift according to Allied Universal protocols.

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
Have experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Demonstrate customer service experience is preferred.
Hold a current CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
