About the Role
As a Security Officer for TQL, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and safety of the premises by monitoring access, screening visitors, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals working in or entering the facility. This role will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle security incidents effectively and professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Monitor and control access to the premises by verifying identification and issuing visitor, contractor and employee badges.

Answer incoming calls and inquiries, provide information and assistance to callers, visitors and employees.

Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect, communicate, and respond promptly to security threats.

Collaborate with other security personnel and TQL employees to address security concerns and maintain a cohesive security operation.

Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents, disturbances, or security breaches.

Take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and property.

Provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors, including addressing their needs/concerns promptly and courteously.

Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security vulnerabilities to the appropriate authorities or building management.
What You Need:

Ability to work, Saturday and Sunday 7a to 7p

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Course work, certifications, or other training in criminal justice, security management or related field preferred.

Experience in security, military, law enforcement, or customer service-related field within corporate environment preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

Ability to communicate intelligent, articulate, and effective security and preparedness related concepts.

Ability to work cooperatively with others and demonstrate professional, ethical, respectful, and courteous behavior to meet customer expectations in working through all interactions and difficult situations.
