Job Description

As a Security Officer - Welcome Center in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a busy location, helping manage guest check-ins, visitor logs, badge access, and phone and/or radio communications. You will monitor activity from the desk, respond to questions and incidents, and document security-related events with professionalism. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities from the front desk.
Monitor the lobby and entrance area, verify identification and/or access authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor, delivery, and contractor logs.
Answer phones and greet guests, provide directions and general assistance, and communicate with property management and/or on-site staff as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting events according to site procedures.
Observe and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations, helping to deter unwanted activity through a consistent front desk presence and timely communication.

Minimum Requirements:

A Guard Card/License is preferred.
Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
