Job Title: Security Operations Consultant

Job Duration: 12 months contract

Location: Hybrid – Eden Prairie Minnesota, Minnesota

Job Description:

• Support ongoing and expanding security operational needs across the organization. This role will play a key part in vulnerability management, identity management, and security alert handling.
• The consultant will work closely with engineering teams, application owners, and various technical stakeholders to ensure issues are identified, assigned, tracked, and resolved effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, prioritize, and act on vulnerability findings across devices, servers, applications, and databases.
• Work directly with application owners, engineers, and technical teams to identify responsible owners and drive remediation.
• Work across engineering, application, database, and infrastructure groups to gather information and resolve security findings.
• Build strong working relationships—communication and approachability are critical

Required Skills:

• Hands-on security operations experience supporting a technical environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender (endpoint, vulnerability, dashboards).
• Exposure to or experience with vulnerability management tools and workflows.
• Strong communication skills—comfortable reaching out to stakeholders and not hesitant to ask questions.
• Ability to work through bulk findings: gathering ownership, tracking updates, documenting next steps.
• Experience in Microsoft ecosystems (Azure, Active Directory/Entra, Windows environments).
• General Microsoft stack utilities and management tools

The projected hourly range for this position is $60-65/hr.
