The Role

Brennan’s Cybersecurity Practice plays an essential role in Brennan’s overall business strategy. Having experienced significant growth over the past few years, the Practice is taking the next steps to support our next wave of market activity.
To achieve this we are seeking a talented Security Operations Specialist to join our Security Operations team. You will bring expertise and a can-do attitude to develop and deliver technical solutions that strengthen the cyber security posture of our clients.
At its core, the Security Operations Specialist is a technical role that delivers a range of network and cybersecurity services to the market in a project-based delivery methodology.
This role is also expected to provide thought leadership, guidance, and strategic advice to our customers on networking and cybersecurity matters, ensuring our customers deploy best-of-breed technology that appropriately serves their networking and cybersecurity needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build strong working relationships across Brennan and with our customers.
    • Lead customer workshops and security reviews to capture requirements and refine operational processes.
    • Clearly communicate incident findings, technical solutions, and their business value to diverse stakeholders.
    Secure Operations Engineering & Delivery
    • Conduct discovery and analysis of customer environments to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for security uplift.
    • Implement and maintain controls across Endpoint (EDR/XDR), Email Security, Identity & Access Management, and SIEM/SOAR platforms.
    • Produce and maintain documentation artefacts such as playbooks, response guides, and operational procedures.
    • Execute system changes, upgrades, and deployments to improve customer security posture.
    • Provide expert advice on industry best practices, frameworks (NIST, ISO, Essential 8), and governance-aligned solutions.
