Security Patrol Officer

Shift Length: 6-hour shifts
Schedule: To be assigned

Position Overview:
We are seeking professional and reliable Security Officers to provide both vehicle patrol and interior foot patrol services. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong visual security presence, ensuring the safety of customers and staff, and supporting overall loss prevention efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Exterior Vehicle Patrol:

• Conduct continuous patrols of the parking lot and all exterior areas of the facility
• Monitor all areas including the rear of the building for suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and enhance overall site safety

Interior Foot Patrol:

• Perform routine patrols inside the store, focusing on high-traffic and high-risk areas
• Act as a visible deterrent to theft and disruptive behavior
• Support a safe and professional shopping environment

Customer Service & De-Escalation:

• Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons as needed
• Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts or disturbances
• Handle situations calmly, professionally, and in accordance with company policy

Asset Protection Support:

• Work alongside the in-house Asset Protection team to deter shoplifting
• Observe and report suspicious activity without direct engagement
• Maintain strong situational awareness at all times

Reporting:

• Observe and immediately report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or incidents
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports

Operational Guidelines:

• Patrol vehicles are for observation and deterrence purposes only
• No vehicle or foot pursuits are permitted
• Officers shall not block, detain, or restrain any individual
• Physical engagement is strictly prohibited
• All enforcement actions are to be handled by local law enforcement

Requirements:

• Valid California Guard Card (Required)
• Valid California Driver’s License (Required)
• Clean driving record/history
• Must pass a background check
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable transportation
