Summary
Our 40+ story residential high-rise is looking for a Safety and Compliance Coordinator is established to facilitate access and entry, incident investigation and overall support for compliance within a building. Works directly with Engineering and Building Management to establish protocols for security and safety.
Schedule: Saturday-Tuesday (Off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) 3pm-1:30am
Hourly Rate: $26.00 per hour or DOE
Essential Job Functions
Security and Maintenance
- Evaluates evacuation and emergency plans for compliance with current code and feasibility.
- Trains all staff on their role and expectations for security plans and procedures
- Establishes the protocols followed during a security event
- Works with Engineering to establish safety expectations with the maintenance plans of the building.
- Regular evaluates access points and works with all staff to improve overall security of the building.
- Does a complete security walk regularly to ensure that all minimum expectations are being met, such as locked doors at access points.
- Investigates after an incident to find the cause and support the building in resolving the issue. Contacts the appropriate vendors for repair of any equipment or structures following an incident.
- Provides suggestions upon building management request for updated security items or improvements to the overall system.
- Establish protocols for vendors and access during repair and maintenance. Ensure that all staff understand and have been trained on the rules and expectations of outside vendors.
- Support Community Manager in training 3rd party services such as fill-ins and move coordinators.
Health and Safety
- Encourages behaviors and trains employees on ways to do their positions in safe and healthy ways. This is to improve long-term staffing with each role.
- Finds tools and equipment to improve efficiency and decrease physical pressure on equipment.
- Evaluates job roles for redundancy and ways that could cause injury.
- Investigates accidents and works with building management to determine a resolution and prevention of future events.
Policy Implementation
- Enforce Association policies and declarations requirements and inform residents as required about policies.
- Investigate complaints and disturbances. Provide information regarding violations to Community Manager and Board of Directors for resolution.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Proven excellence in customer service and administration
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Excel and Outlook
- 2 – 3 Years experience preferred
Skills and Knowledge
- Highly organized and able to use a variety of methods
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
- Basic design skills to create communication strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Excel and Outlook
- Able to learn new software with changes to building and security systems
Physical and Environmental
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to move a dumpster if requested
- Tasks may require racking leaves or shoveling snow outdoors
- Able to work around cleaning products
- Fine manipulation of phone and keyboards
