Security Supervisor

Under the supervision of the Security Manager works collabortively to ensure Security and Welcome Desk day-to-day operations and staff function in a safe and efficient manner. Performs duties which help to maintain the security of the building, grounds, and all persons therein. Provides patient observations as ordered by a physician. Models Leadership Organizational Standards
na Requirements: EDUCATION:
Minimum:

• High School education required.

Preferred:

• Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or other related field
  

LICENSE:
Minimum:

• Valid NYS driver's license clear of violations consistent with FLH Policy
  

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred:

• NYS Security Guard Registration, which includes completion of 8-hour pre-assignment training.
• CPI obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Become CPI Instructor within 12 months in the position
• BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation
• 16-hour Security Guard course
  

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:

• 3 year Security Officer experience; Prior Leadership Experience

Preferred:

• Previous Security Supervisor Experience
  

SKILLS:
Minimum:

• Must have a good driving history and be able to travel to multiple locations on any given day as requested.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
