The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety and security operations of the restaurant and bar. This role ensures a secure environment for guests and staff, leads the security team, and maintains a professional, controlled atmosphere aligned with the hospitality standards of a Moroccan/Middle Eastern venue.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and manage the daily duties of all security guards.
- Conduct briefings before each shift to review assignments, safety protocols, and key areas of focus.
- Train and coach security staff on guest interaction, conflict prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure guards maintain proper uniform, grooming, and professional behavior at all times.
Guest Safety & Venue Management
- Oversee entrance management and guest flow, especially during peak hours and events.
- Ensure proper ID checks, access control, and compliance with venue policies.
- Support the team in monitoring guest behavior, preventing conflicts, and addressing issues promptly.
- Maintain a welcoming but controlled environment that aligns with the restaurant’s hospitality culture.
Security Operations
- Conduct regular patrols of the restaurant, bar, and surrounding areas to identify risks or issues.
- Monitor CCTV (if applicable) and ensure all surveillance systems are functional.
- Handle incidents professionally, documenting everything clearly and accurately in incident reports.
- Coordinate with management regarding high-risk guests or situations.
Emergency Handling
- Lead the response during emergencies such as medical incidents, altercations, fire alarms, or evacuations.
- Ensure the team is trained in emergency procedures and first response actions.
- Act as point of contact with external authorities (police, ambulance, fire service) when needed.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all security operations comply with local laws, safety regulations, and company policy.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure fire exits, safety equipment, and emergency routes are unobstructed.
- Review and update security procedures when necessary.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain clear communication with restaurant management, bar managers, and staff.
- Prepare daily security logs and detailed reports for any incidents or major observations.
- Provide recommendations to improve security, guest safety, and operational flow.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (hospitality preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Fluent in Arabic; good English communication required.
- Excellent conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good physical condition and ability to remain alert for long periods.
- Knowledge of local safety regulations, security protocols, and emergency procedures.
