We are looking for a Seed Production Agronomist to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Idaho Falls, ID.

As a Seed Production Agronomist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of seed production. We are looking for a Technical expert providing strong leadership in the effective evaluation, management, & technical information exchange in the production process of quality hybrid canola seed.

As a Seed Production Agronomist - Idaho Falls ID, you create chemistry by...


  • Supporting experienced agronomists and growers in producing high-quality canola seed, following established BASF production and quality standards.
  • Assisting with field inspections to monitor crop development, isolation, purity, and seed quality throughout the growing season.
  • Collecting and analyzing data on crop progress and performance, helping to forecast seed yield and quality outcomes.
  • Contributing to technical reviews and discussions that guide production planning and continuous improvement.
  • Communicating regularly with the seed production and supply teams, sharing updates and supporting decision-making with clear, accurate information.
  • Maintaining production records, maps, and contract details to ensure traceability and compliance with company standards.
  • Participating in stewardship, safety, and quality training programs, ensuring all production activities meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Collaborating across departments to learn the full cycle of seed production — from field operations through supply chain coordination.

If you...


  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • Have 0–3 years of experience in crop production, seed production, or agricultural operations; internship or research experience in seed systems preferred.
  • Possess basic understanding or interest in seed physiology, agronomy, and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Display effective communication and teamwork abilities in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.); experience with SAP or other data systems a plus.
  • Are willing to travel locally and regionally during key production seasons.
