Self-Contained Special Education Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Self-Contained Special Education Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities in subjects such as literacy and math.
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed to support student development.
• Conduct regular assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with parents, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive educational support for each student.
• Foster early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance in childhood development.
• Mentor and tutor students to enhance their academic skills and confidence.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior management strategies.

Experience
Candidates should have experience working with children in special education settings. Preferred qualifications include:

• Proven experience in curriculum development tailored for diverse learners.
• Background in early childhood education or preschool experience.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and strategies for managing classroom behavior.
