Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being is always maintained.

This role involves working closely with clients within their own home providing high-quality customer care.

Duties:

• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to ensure a calm and safe environment.
• Perform heavy lifting when required, assisting clients with physical mobility and transfers.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any significant changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid when required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
• Certification in first aid is desirable; training may be provided if necessary.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
