Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician-owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are currently seeking a Self-Pay Patient Account Representative to join our Administration team in Fort Myers.
Sample of Duties:
- Provides excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
- Handles calls and correspondence from patients and insurance companies as they relate to self-pay accounts. Provides prompt resolution to questions or concerns.
- Identifies on a daily basis all delinquent accounts and pursue accounts as described in written policies and procedures.
- Makes recommendations concerning patient accounts to be written off or turned over for collection.
- Monitors work status and maintains productivity within MGMA standards for Patient Account Representatives.
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Position Requirements:
- Two years of experience working in a high volume medical office environment
- Great attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to handle all interactions in a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner
- Excellent and professional customer service skills
- Knowledge of methods and procedures of health data systems
