Semi Trailer Body Repair Mechanic "minimum one year experience preferred"

Main Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the repairs of all vehicles to pre-collision condition.
• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Review each repair order/work order and estimators notes to understand the repairs needed prior to beginning work.
• Diagnose and repair trailers including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical.
• Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
• The position requires heavy lifting, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with internal customers.
• Basic metal fabrication ability.
• Ability to perform similar repairs on various types and brands of the same components
• Required to follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to, safety, conduct, attendance, and cleanliness.

Experience Required

• One year of semi-trailer repair or heavy equipment body repair.
• Must have a minimum of basic hand tools.
• Must be able to work overtime when needed
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.)
• Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high.
• Must be able to work in all types of environments including, heat, cold
• Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Experience Preferred

• Experience in aluminum and steel welding

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
