Semi Truck Mechanic

Jellison Repair is looking for 2 or 3 truck mechanics because 2 of our current employees have advanced to higher positions inside the business. Jellison Repair is an independent Truck shop that works on most brands of class 8 trucks and trailers. We do all types of repair from brakes to engine overhauls. We do not need you to be a master of all phases of a truck but you will need to be specialized in some specific area. For example, we have people who do chassis work and seldom if ever do engine work. Other people do primarily engine and diagnostic work. We like to be able to allow a tech to do the work they are best at.

We work Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm and often work Saturdays throughout the season. Sundays are seldom worked and never required. Overtime is available for most of the year (if not all year) but again not required. Jellison offers medical, dental and optical through Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. We have 6 paid holidays a year and paid vacation. We also have tool/clothing allowance along with education reimbursement programs.

You will be expected to have a good attitude towards the work and your coworkers. Punctuality and attendance are a must since the equipment we work on is how our customers earn. We understand the Bakken is a dirty place and we work hard to maintain the shop as clean and orderly as possible. You will be required to assist in the maintenance of an orderly shop. In other words, we expect you to clean up after yourself and put away tools and parts daily. The shop has all of the necessary specialty tools and you should have the required tools to do the work you are hired to do. It is not necessary you have a CDL, although it is beneficial for both you and the business if you do.

Jellison pays hourly by direct deposit every 2 weeks and will be paying $30 to $60 an hour depending on experience for these positions. We are not looking for entry level at this time. You must have at least a couple of years of real experience on semi trucks. This job requires a preemployment drug and alcohol screen and random testing on going. Jellison prides itself on safety. It's understood that mistakes happen but we believe that they can be minimized in frequency and magnitude. We have had ZERO serious injuries over the 16 years we have been in business! We expect to maintain this record.
