Senior 3D Artist

We’re looking for a Senior 3D Artist with proven expertise in Autodesk Maya and strong experience in the automotive sector. If you’re passionate about creating stunning visuals, have a sharp eye for detail, and can bring cars to life both in stills and motion — we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality 3D automotive renders using Autodesk Maya.
• Produce photorealistic studio shots and outdoor lifestyle renders for cars.
• Handle rigging and animation to create small motion sequences (e.g. rolling wheels, opening doors, feature demos).
• Collaborate with the creative and production team to ensure deliverables meet brand and client expectations.
• Optimize models, textures, and lighting setups for efficiency without compromising quality.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Artist, with a strong portfolio in automotive rendering.
• Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Maya (modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, rendering).
• Strong understanding of automotive design, surfaces, and materials to ensure realism.
• Proven ability to create studio-quality stills and environment-based renders.
• Experience in rigging and basic animation inside Maya.
• Familiarity with rendering engines (Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, or similar).
• Strong eye for detail, composition, and photorealism.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with other 3D programs such as Cinema 4D or Blender.
• Knowledge of After Effects / compositing for post-production.
• Automotive passion or background in car-related projects.

General and administrative:

• Ensure there is a full back up of all finished projects saved in the server following the agreed folder structure.
• Prepare weekly status report covering all jobs being undertaken at any point – identifying any delays or issues in order for them to be resolved.
• Follow process and procedures for the design studio and ensure they are implemented and followed.
• Implement/follow job numbering system via Teambox and Asana, facilitating client servicing to book studio time accordingly.
• Regular liaison with Head of Studio to review workflow.
