Senior Account Executive - Kira Talent

Job Description:

About ETS:
ETS is a global education and talent solutions organization enabling lifelong learners worldwide to be future-ready. For more than 75 years, we've been advancing the science of measurement to build benchmarks for fair and valid skill assessment across cultures and borders. Our worldwide impact extends through our renowned assessments including TOEFL®, TOEIC®, GRE® and Praxis® tests, serving millions of learners in more than 200 countries and territories. Through strategic acquisitions, we've expanded our global capabilities: PSI strengthens our workforce assessment solutions, while Edusoft, Kira Talent, Pipplet, Vericant, and Wheebox enhance our educational technology and assessment platforms across critical markets worldwide.

Through ETS Research Institute and ETS Solutions, we're partnering with educational institutions, governments, and organizations globally to promote skill proficiency, empower upward mobility, and unlock opportunities for everyone, everywhere. With offices and partners across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas, we deliver nearly 50 million tests annually. Join us in our journey of measuring progress to power human progress worldwide.

Founded in 2012, Kira Talent transforms the admissions process by integrating on-demand, timed video, and written assessments with structured live interview technology. Our platform complements existing admissions requirements, allowing institutions to see the real people behind the application-not just the numbers.

The Team

At Kira, we tackle complex challenges in higher education by creating elegant, user-friendly products. We're a lean, highly collaborative team that moves quickly and works cross-functionally to drive success for both schools and applicants. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a startup environment, you'll love it here.

We're committed to fostering an open, honest, and respectful workplace, shaped by the people within it. Our team values diversity and inclusion, and we strive to build and support talent that reflects our diverse culture.

The Role

Kira Talent is searching for a high-energy Senior Account Executive who is passionate about education, and building long-lasting partnerships, to help expand the company's base of partner institutions around the world. Current strategic clients include the University of Toronto, London Business School, and Northwestern. With extensive product knowledge and understanding of industry trends, Account Executives will communicate directly with prospects and clients, understand their individual needs, and recommend how Kira can help make their admissions processes more efficient, effective, and fair. Being an adaptable, knowledgeable multitasker, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn will help you succeed in the role.

Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada
Experience and Skills:

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales by developing long-term, trust-based relationships across the Higher Education industry
  • Prospect into your territory, meet contacts at conferences and in the territory and then cultivate those relationships via phone, email, demoing, and video conferencing
  • Follow up on inbound leads that come in via our website
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities ranging from a prospect who's expressed a need ("new opportunity") through to a client ("closed deal")
  • Share market feedback and insights with colleagues on the Product and Marketing teams to guide the creation of new sales & marketing collateral that will iteratively and ultimately lead to the development of a repeatable sales process
  • Note: "Account management" is not part of the role as there is a dedicated team of Client Success Managers that handles training, onboarding, and ongoing support as soon as a contract is signed

What excites us

  • You have at least four years of closing experience working complex deals that involved multiple stakeholders (one of which was maybe even Procurement!)
  • You have a keen interest in and excel at relationship-based sales (as opposed to transactional sales, which this is not)
  • You're very self-directed, resourceful, and ready to roll up your sleeves to do what's necessary to drive business growth
  • You're excited about the idea of helping to build Kira Talent's sales playbook and your curiosity will help to shape the creation of a repeatable sales process
  • You're creative and have a track record of making magic happen to get deals across the finish line when needed and you get fired up when deals come through
  • You enjoy collaborating closely with your colleagues, being tapped on the shoulder to share tips & tricks while openly encouraging others to share what works for them
  • You're comfortable having cerebral conversations with thought leaders of some of the world's largest and influential higher education institutions about their priorities, needs, and challenges, and then effectively communicating back to our internal team what those distilled insights were
  • Undergraduate degree

  • As a not-for-profit organization we will encourage you to lean in to your passion for volunteering. Â At ETS you may qualify for up to an additional 8 hours of PTO for volunteer work on causes that are important to you!
