JOB DESCRIPTION – CA / Senior Accountant

Location: Mumbai -Santacruz west

1. Position Overview

We are hiring a highly intelligent, detail-oriented and proactive CA/Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of multiple group companies. The candidate must be sharp in identifying mistakes, strong in strategy planning, and capable of leading a 5-member accounting team.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Strategy & Management

Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow plans and cost-control strategies.

Manage funds company-wise and maintain inter-company accountability.

Prepare MIS reports, profitability statements and financial dashboards.

Analyse data to identify financial gaps, mistakes or opportunities.

B. Team Leadership (5 Members)

Lead and supervise the accounting team across companies.

Allocate tasks, monitor performance & ensure accuracy of all entries.

Train the team to improve efficiency, compliance and accountability.

C. Compliance & Taxation

Full knowledge and execution of:

GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 & 9C)

Income Tax Return (ITR) for individuals & companies

TDS returns, 26AS reconciliation, advance tax

Finalisation of accounts and audit coordination

ROC filings and company law basics

Knowledge of SEZ/EOU compliance is a strong advantage.

D. Banking & Finance Handling

Coordinate with banks for OD/CC limit, LC, BG, loan renewals and financial proposals.

Prepare CMA data and banking documentation as required.

Daily monitoring of inflow/outflow and monthly bank reconciliation.

E. Intelligence-Based Error Detection

Cross-check and detect errors in purchase, sales, ledger, GST, bank and stock accounts.

Review vouchers, entries and inter-company transactions weekly.

Implement financial controls and develop SOPs to minimise errors.

F. Software Skills

Tally Prime / ERP

Excel Advanced (Pivot, VLOOKUP, MIS Automation)

GST & Income Tax portal handling

Banking portals

3. Candidate Profile

CA or Semi-Qualified CA with minimum 5+ years experience.

Strong intelligence and logical thinking.

Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple companies’ accounts.

Excellent communication skills—English & Hindi.

High level of integrity, responsibility and problem-solving mindset.

Key Hiring Criteria

1. Must be intelligent, analytical and able to catch mistakes quickly.

2. Capable of handling company-wise fund management and cash flow.

3. Full knowledge of GST, GSTR-9, income tax, TDS, ROC.

4. Strong experience with banks—OD/CC, LC, loans, proposals.

5. Team leader who can manage 5 accountants across locations.

6. Must work independently with responsibility and high accountability.
