Job Description

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be a pivotal player in delivering exceptional results for our financial clients. You will serve as a key day to day contact, managing campaigns that focus on business to business (B2B) and business to government (B2G) communications. Your ability to craft compelling narratives and engage effectively with senior decision makers will be crucial.

You will play a significant role in developing and executing thought leadership campaigns, working with clients on strategic positioning within a global financial and political context. Experience with financial calendar work is also highly valued. You will guide junior team members, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, while also championing Burson's values and contributing to the success of your accounts and the wider practice.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary day to day contact for financial services clients, building strong relationships.
  • Develop and execute B2B and B2G communications strategies, ensuring clear business messaging.
  • Lead the creation and placement of thought leadership content, including op eds and articles.
  • Manage media relations activities, including pitching, press conferences, and media engagement.
  • Oversee calendar work, assisting clients with financial results announcements and reporting.
  • Contribute to positioning companies within relevant global financial and political environments.
  • Guide junior team members on project execution, deadlines, and client deliverables.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and support proposal development.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Senior Account Manager or an ambitious Account Manager.
  • Demonstrable track record in B2B and B2G financial sector work.
  • Strong understanding of the global financial and political landscape.
  • Expertise in media relations, including a solid network and experience with op eds and press conferences.
  • Experience or an interest in learning financial calendar work (e.g., results reporting, investor relations).
  • Ability to craft sophisticated business messages and effectively communicate with decision makers.
  • A passion for thought leadership and experience in developing high quality content.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and client communication skills.
