Senior Account Manager, Performance Marketing (Higher Education)

About the Role
We are looking for a high-level Senior Account Manager who can work with our team to own the strategy and client relationship for our Performance Marketing division (PPC, PPI & SEO). This is not a basic project manager role. You will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Higher Education clients, responsible for leading calls with confidence, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring our technical execution is flawless.

This role will report to the VP of Agency Services however you will have significant autonomy. You won't just follow a playbook; you will work with our team to build the systems and workflows needed to ensure our clients—from Admissions to Marketing Directors—see us as an indispensable partner in hitting their enrollment goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Command the Room: Lead weekly and monthly client meetings. You must be able to translate complex PPC/SEO data into a narrative that resonates with university stakeholders.
  • Technical Auditing: Independently "spot-check" accounts within Google Ads, Google Analytics, PowerBI, Meta Business Manager, and SEO tools. You should be able to identify a tracking error or a sub-optimal bidding strategy before the client even notices.
  • Strategic Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to expand account reach. Whether it’s proposing a new platform (LinkedIn, YouTube) or a content audit, you are responsible for the long-term roadmap.
  • Project Orchestration: Proof creative assets for brand alignment and conversion best practices. Coordinate with specialists to ensure projects stay on track and meet our "no-error" standard.
  • System Building: We are a consistently growing agency. You will be expected to be a self-starter who works with the team to build the templates, reporting structures, and checklists that make your portfolio successful.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in digital marketing, specifically within an agency environment or Higher Education setting.
  • Platform Mastery: You must be "hands-in-platform" proficient with Google Ads and Meta Business Manager. You don't need to be the daily button-pusher, but you must be able to audit their work.
  • Proficient in AI platforms: You must be extremely proficient in AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini.
  • Higher Ed Familiarity: An understanding of the student recruitment funnel (RFI to Enrollment) is a massive plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You should be comfortable "pushing back" on clients professionally when strategy requires it.
  • Logistics: US-based and able to travel occasionally 2-4 times per year.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
