Senior Accountant

Job description:

Responsibilities

• Handling all general accounting records based on Turkish Tax Legislation, Turkish Accounting Standards and IFRS;
• All tasks related to statutory tax management (requirements from legal tax authorities, preparation of all kinds of tax declarations/reports, handling the VAT refund process, tax audits, etc.);
• Processing and following up of e-books, e-invoices transactions
• Performing A/R-A/P reconciliations with counterparties
• Performing controls related to bank transactions
• Keeping the accounting records related to balance sheet accounts, performing balance sheet revaluations and reconciliations
• Successfully closing out the month end operations
• Supporting Finance Controller in financial and reporting activities
• Handling the communication with all the internal and external parties related to accounting and tax issues, including the auditors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar positions
• Good knowledge in General Accounting, Turkish Tax Legislation and financial statements
• Minimum intermediate level written and spoken English skills
• Very good knowledge in MS Office Programs, specially in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in SAP and Sun accounting system will be a plus
• Good communication and problem solving skills, analytical and result oriented with a team spirit
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
