Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting the company's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Assist in developing and executing the company's financial strategy to meet business goals.
  • Help with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variances.
  • Work with the team to evaluate investment opportunities and track financial performance.
  • Evaluate financial performance against key metrics and benchmarks.

Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve performance.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and forecasts for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure financial statements are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
  • Communicate Financial results and analysis to senior management and stakeholders

Auditing and Compliance:

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documents and addressing queries.
  • Keep updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Help with financial training for the finance team.
  • Coordinate audits and ensure timely submission of financial reports and tax filings

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and support the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance.
  • Provide Guidance and support team members on complex financial matters
  • Conduct Regular performance reviews and career development planning for direct reports.

Banking Relations and Loan Management:

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Oversee and manage company loans, overdraft facilities, and credit lines, ensuring timely payments and compliance with agreements.
  • Negotiate loan terms, interest rates, and other banking services to support the company's financial needs.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal utilization of available credit facilities to meet financial commitments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education qualifications in M com, CA, CMA, or related degree preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels within the organization.
  • Fluency in English and additional language is added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar field.
