Company Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Accountant to support the financial management and ensure the operational efficiency of all three entities.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is a hands-on, operational role responsible for executing the complete financial, tax, and administrative functions for the three companies. This candidate is expected to perform all duties independently with a high degree of accuracy and initiative. The role involves direct reporting to both Accounts Manager for daily accounting guidance and General Manager for high-level financial performance and strategic updates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execution of Full-Cycle Accounting:

  • Perform the entire accounting process for all three companies independently.
  • Process all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensure timely collections.
  • Administer monthly payroll via the WPS system, handle employee advances, reimbursements, and end-of-service benefits.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and post all necessary journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintain an impeccable and organized system for all financial records (digital and physical).

2. Corporate Tax Compliance & Filing:

  • Prepare detailed working papers and calculations for corporate tax provisions in full compliance with UAE CT law.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely filing of annual Corporate Tax returns for each entity.
  • Maintain robust documentation for tax audits and transfer pricing.
  • Stay abreast of all changes in FTA regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

3. Financial Reporting & Bank Management:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for each company and consolidated reports for management review.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis, comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing clear explanations for management.
  • Manage daily cash flow, process all electronic transfers, and perform monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
  • Ensure all company bank accounts are monitored and reconciled promptly.

4. Administrative & Compliance Duties:

  • Manage and renew company registrations with relevant government authorities (Chamber of Commerce, Economic Department, etc.).
  • Handle the renewal of company insurances and other administrative licenses.
  • Ensure strict compliance with VAT regulations, including timely filing of returns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors; organize and provide all necessary documentation for annual financial and tax audits.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A pursuing or completed professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in a hands-on accounting role, with experience handling multiple entities. Direct, hands-on experience with UAE Corporate Tax preparation and filing is mandatory.
  • Technical Skills:

o Essential: Mastery of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.

o Essential: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Tally, ERP) and advanced MS Excel skills.

o Essential: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, WPS, and UAE financial regulations.

o Essential: Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
  • Personal Attributes:

o Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage all duties without constant supervision.

o Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

o Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines for multiple companies.

o Strong communication skills to report effectively to both Accounts Manager & General Manager.

o High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
