Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong experience in IT consulting or related industries. The role involves managing full accounting cycles, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial insights.

Requirements

General Accounting & Reporting

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, GL reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with IFRS.
• Monitor revenue recognition for consulting projects based on contractual terms and milestones.
• Maintain fixed assets register and calculate monthly depreciation.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file Zakat, VAT, WHT, and other tax-related returns as per Saudi regulations.
• Ensure compliance with SOCPA, GAZT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit activities by preparing schedules and documentation.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee vendor invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations.
• Manage client invoicing, follow up on collections, and reconcile accounts receivable.
• Ensure proper recording of intercompany transactions and allocations.

Budgeting & Analysis

• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Perform variance analysis between budget and actual results, providing actionable insights.
• Support management in cost control and profitability analysis for IT consulting projects.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Implement and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial policies.
• Work closely with IT/ERP teams to enhance automation and reporting capabilities.
• Support ERP implementation or upgrades (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in IT consulting or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax laws (Zakat, VAT, WHT).
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy in financial reporting.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) or working toward one.
• Experience with project-based accounting in consulting or IT services firms.
• Exposure to Big 4 audit firms or multinational environments.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
