Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the company’s accounting operations, ensure compliance with UAE laws (including VAT regulations), and support financial planning and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UAE financial regulations, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and the ability to lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely VAT calculations, filing, and compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements.
- Oversee payroll processing in compliance with UAE labour law and WPS regulations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to aid management decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and assist in treasury management.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certification preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA).
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 to 4 years in the UAE.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax/VAT laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zohobooks, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in handling multiple company accounts within a group structure.
- Familiarity with financial controls and risk management.
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor team members.
