Senior Accountant

TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time, Denver-based Senior Accountant. This role requires regular in-office attendance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and performing account analysis
  • Record and track fixed assets, including depreciation and disposals
  • Provide support for financial statement audits, statutory and tax filings
  • Aid in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff, including mentoring and training as needed
  • Review and maintain proper accounting controls for areas of responsibility
  • Identify and improve processes for greater efficiency, accuracy, and automation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, SaaS or tech preferred
  • NetSuite experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

We’re looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting. In this role, you'll monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, track fixed assets, and support financial audits and filings. You’ll also contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, while reviewing and improving internal controls and accounting processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment, along with NetSuite expertise, a sharp eye for detail, and a knack for juggling priorities in a fast-moving setting. CPA certification is a plus, and a collaborative mindset is a must, especially as you'll mentor and guide junior team members along the way.

The base salary range at Kharon is set between $95,000 and $115,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
