Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Review and verify expense reports, vouchers, and journal entries.
• Reconcile inter-branch or inter-company accounts.
• Support management in financial planning and analysis.
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Tally/ERP/SAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliances.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).
• Professional qualification (CA Inter / ICWA / MBA Finance) preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Experience in the automobile industry is an added advantage.
