Senior Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and relevant reports.
- Maintain working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements, ensuring timely filings and adherence to regulatory norms.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, prepare MIS reports, and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Conduct cost analysis, variance analysis, and periodic reviews of general ledger accounts.
- Support tax audits, statutory audits, and internal audits, ensuring full compliance with regulations and audit requirements.
- Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and manage cash flows to support business operations.
- Review vendor contracts, process payments, and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, errors, and irregularities.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in salary computation, statutory deductions, and timely disbursement.
- Verify payments, financial data, and accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
