Job Purpose:
To oversee all financial and accounting operations of the dealership, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and manage end-to-end accounting functions. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting dealership profitability through timely financial analysis, cost control, and process adherence.
Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain all financial statements including P&L accounts, balance sheet, cash flow, and MIS reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
- Handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Monitor and control receivables, payables, and expenses.
- Prepare and analyze variance reports, budget comparisons, and dealership financial summaries.
2. Automobile Dealership Accounting (Essential Experience)
- Handle accounting specific to vehicle sales, service, spares, insurance, accessories, and workshop operations.
- Manage OEM-related financial processes, including claims, incentives, warranty settlements, and reimbursements.
- Ensure accurate DMS (Dealer Management System) entries and daily reconciliation with accounting software.
- Oversee gate passes, stock registers, delivery notes, and inventory controls.
- Coordinate with Sales, Service, Body Shop, Spares, and CRM teams for financial accuracy.
3. Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and all statutory regulations.
- Prepare and submit all tax returns and related documentation.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, furnish required data, and close audit queries.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for statutory audits and OEM audits.
4. Banking & Cash Management
- Manage daily bank reconciliation and cash flow statements.
- Oversee cash handling, deposits, payments, and approvals.
- Maintain proper records for loans, OD accounts, fixed deposits, and other financial instruments.
5. Process Improvement & Team Support
- Ensure strong internal controls, process discipline, and financial hygiene.
- Provide guidance to junior accountants and support staff.
- Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements for financial efficiency.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of automobile dealership accounting (mandatory).
- In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, DMS software (Maruti/Mahindra/Toyota etc.), MS Excel, and financial tools.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting (B.Com, M.Com, MBA-Finance).
- Minimum 10 years of total accounting experience, of which at least 5 years must be in the automobile dealership industry.
- Experience handling audits, taxation, financial reporting, DMS, and dealership operations is essential.

- Accuracy of financial statements.
- Timeliness of monthly & annual closing.
- Reduction in outstanding receivables.
- Compliance score in audits (OEM, statutory, internal).
- Accuracy in DMS–Accounts reconciliation.
- Efficiency in cash flow and expense control.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
