Job Scope

This role, based in PPG Turkey and reporting to the Country Finance Manager, supports accurate legal entity financial reporting and controls within the Group. The Senior Accountant works closely with the Country Finance Manager and overseas Shared Service Centers to ensure timely month-end close, group account consolidation, and preparation of financial statement schedules.

Responsibilities include managing daily accounting operations, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, and internal controls. The role also focuses on process improvements and cross-functional collaboration to support financial goals and provide management with ad-hoc reports.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing daily accounting operations and maintaining a full set of accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Supports monthly and year-end closings, assists in preparing financial reports and consolidated statements, and performs general ledger analysis.
• Oversees the full accounts payable and receivable cycle, including vendor invoice processing, weekly payment preparation, customer invoicing, and collection follow-ups, while ensuring accurate reconciliations of vendor, customer, and clearing accounts.
• Contributes to tax filing processes and ensures compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards in coordination with external consultants.
• Maintains effective internal controls, ensures accurate P&L monitoring, and drives continuous improvements in accounting processes.
• Collaborates closely with Global Shared Services (GSS), intercompany finance teams, auditors, and external service providers to resolve financial, tax, and invoicing matters efficiently.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
• In-depth knowledge of Turkey tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Fluency in English is required (both written and verbal).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in food / catering industry or multinational company experience will be an advantage
