About the Role:

American Safety & Power Tool (ASPT) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance team. This role is critical for managing our day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and financial institutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a solid foundation in core accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Management: Record day-to-day financial transactions, with a particular focus on managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Accruals & Adjustments: Process accounting adjustments for pre-paid expenses, advances, and accruals to ensure accurate period-end reporting.
• Reconciliations: Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations and all ledger reconciliations to maintain integrity of the general ledger.
• Bank & Treasury Liaison: Handle interest calculations, manage bank correspondence, and address all banking matters.
• Payroll & Disbursements: Oversee the monthly payroll process and ensure the accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
• Vendor & Contractor Management: Verify contractor bills and payments and maintain coordination with key vendors.
• Financial Reporting: Work closely with the Finance Manager to prepare the Financial statements (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually) and support the audit process.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MBA Finance, M.com or a related field ACCA / CMA (Part Qualified or Finalist) is highly preferred.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within manufacturing industry.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, and payroll is essential.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle, or local equivalents) and advanced MS Excel skills.
