Senior Accountant

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a solid background in both cost accounting and general accounting within a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost accounting and general financial accounting, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with local laws and internal controls.

This role requires someone with hands-on experience in manufacturing cost structures, product costing, inventory control, and full-cycle accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting:

• Maintain and analyze product costing, including raw materials, labor, and overhead
• Monitor production cost variances and report root causes to management
• Track and value inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods)
• Analyze BOMs (Bills of Materials) and validate manufacturing costs
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams on cost optimization

General Accounting:

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting, and monitor budget adherence
• Ensure timely and accurate VAT filing and compliance with UAE regulations
• Support internal and external audits with required financial documentation
• Ensure adherence to IFRS and company financial policies

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CMA, CA Inter, or CPA) is a strong advantage
• 4 - 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 - 3 years in a manufacturing company
• Strong understanding of both cost accounting and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis
• Familiarity with UAE VAT laws and filing procedures
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing background is preferred

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
