Job Description:We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our vibrant team at The Floorist. As a Senior Accountant, you will hold a key role in maintaining and analyzing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire spectrum of financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost-saving measures or revenue enhancement.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of financial data, adherence to budgetary guidelines, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data integrity throughout the financial systems.
- Play a pivotal role in annual budgeting and forecasting exercises, providing valuable insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards and changes in financial regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Mentor and support junior members of the accounting team, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a strong asset.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in a senior-level accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in financial analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
