Key Responsibilities1. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis
- Monitor profitability of ticketing, hotel bookings, and tour packages
2. BSP & Airline Reconciliation
- Handle BSP reconciliation under International Air Transport Association regulations
- Reconcile airline sales, refunds, ADM/ACM
- Monitor GDS reports (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport)
- Ensure timely BSP remittance to avoid penalties
3. Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
- Monitor corporate client credit facilities
- Track outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts
- Review and recommend credit limits
- Ensure proper documentation of credit agreements
4. Accounts Payable
- Manage payments to airlines, hotels, tour operators, and suppliers
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Monitor commission receivables
5. VAT & Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with Federal Tax Authority regulations
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws
- Coordinate with external auditors
6. Cash Flow & Budgeting
- Monitor daily cash flow
- Assist in budget preparation
- Implement cost control measures
7. Team Supervision
- Supervise accounting staff
- Review daily sales and accounting entries
- Ensure adherence to internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (CPA / ACCA) preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years experience in travel & tourism accounting
- Strong knowledge of BSP system and travel accounting procedures
- Experience in ERP/accounting software / Zohobooks / Ninthware
- Advanced MS Excel skills
