Job Title: Senior Accountant.

Location: Dubai, UAE.

Position Type: Full-time.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and proficient Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in accounting, with the ability to oversee the entire finance department, finalize accounts, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and fluency in Arabic are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely finalization of accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.
  • Supervise, train, and support finance staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and support business growth.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure best practices in financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record in financial management and finalization of accounts.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Tally, Peachtree, Zoho, etc ...
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a finance department.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
