Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), the Senior Accountant will perform accounting and reporting functions associated with private investments, trusts and other business entities managed by the Company.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum 5 years’ experience in financial statement reporting required
- Income tax experience preferred
- Trust accounting knowledge a plus
- Ability to solve problems and implement process improvements
- Must have exceptional analytical skills and can have the ability to understand and analyze complex issues
- Detail oriented, ability to plan, well organized, complete work with minimal supervision
- High energy and highly motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time, in an efficient manner
- Independent thinker, self-starter, and proficient problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers
- Proficiency in MS office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Quickbooks or comparable accounting software required
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Utilizing monthly reports prepared by investment banks and others, prepare investment and financial statement transactions for operating entities, real estate entities, investment trusts and other entities managed by the Company. Prepare and enter journal entries into respective entity general ledgers utilizing Sage Intacct and other accounting software.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and review for proper accounting and reporting prior to review by executive management.
- Reconcile investment and bank accounts monthly. Reconcile supporting schedules to financial statements.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by executive management including other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
- Assist in preparation of information for outside tax preparer and assist with review of tax returns.
- Participate in accounting and reporting for private operating businesses managed by the Company.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
