Senior Accountant

We are a French company based in Dubai looking to urgently hire an Senior Accountant.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation of Value Added Tax, Corporate Tax and any other future taxes related processes and procedures and recommend improvements to the procedures by developing or implementing best practices
• Manage tax provision and tax compliance process effectively and ensure timely filing of returns and handling responses to various audits/queries from the Federal Tax Authority
• Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information
• Collect, sort and check supplier invoices
• Data entry, including vouchers, accounting statements, other reports and records
• Prepare sales tax invoices/bills
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the organisation's financial health is protected
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage payroll processing, including overtime calculations, salary deductions in accordance with UAE labor laws, and timely payments to employees

Requirements:

• Mandatory: Advance knowledge of Tally accounting software for efficient financial management
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting principles, tax regulations and financial reporting standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Proven experience with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership position
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Tools
