Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for executing the company’s daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple related entities.

This position performs hands-on accounting work including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable activity, inventory accounting coordination, and month-end close procedures.

The role also manages banking relationships, monitors company cash flow and line-of-credit activity, supports tax reporting and compliance requirements, and works closely with external CPAs and financial institutions.

This position plays a key role in maintaining reliable financial data and supporting leadership with accurate financial information for decision making.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform accounting functions using the Intuitive ERP system, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory transactions, and General Ledger maintenance.

· Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports.

· Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

· Maintain accounting records for multiple related entities and reconcile all intercompany transactions and transfers.

· Monitor company cash flow and line of credit activity.

· Maintain banking activities including ACH payments, Wire transfers, Deposits, Positive Pay fraud protection and Monthly bank reconciliations

· Prepare and file monthly and quarterly Use Tax returns.

· Prepare annual Tangible Personal Property tax returns.

· Maintain fixed asset records and coordinate depreciation schedules with the company’s external CPA.

· Work closely with external CPAs on Corporate tax filings, Depreciation schedules, 263A calculations, adjusting journal entries and 1099 reporting

· Monitor corporate credit card balances and ensure accurate general ledger coding and timely payment.

· Assist with lender reporting requirements including financial projections and covenant compliance.

· Coordinate annual insurance renewals and assist with related insurance audits.

· Prepare required government and regulatory reports.

· Document accounting procedures and maintain strong internal controls.

· Provide training and guidance to administrative or accounting support staff when required.

· Participate in cross-training within the administrative office to support business operations.

· Reconcile inventory balances between ERP records and physical inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

· Review inventory adjustments, purchase receipts, and production withdrawals to ensure proper accounting treatment.

· Analyze manufacturing cost activity, including inventory movement, cost of goods sold, and production-related expenses.

· Assist leadership with margin analysis and product cost trends related to manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7 years of accounting experience and experience with ERP accounting systems.
  • Proficient use of Word and advanced Excel proficiency (Macros, pivot tables, charts, graphs and financial analysis tools).
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional integrity.

Preferred

  • 10 years of accounting experience with experience working for a manufacturer
  • Experience with Intuitive ERP software

FACTS provides a unique schedule that gives teammates a two and half day weekend. The work hours for this position are Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
