Job Overview

Innovative Fueling Solutions is a growing Amarillo-based company specializing in fuel systems and aviation infrastructure across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, and Missouri. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to to lead our accounting operations and help us continue building a strong financial foundation as we grow.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both day-to-day accounting and higher-level financial support. In addition to maintaining accurate financials, this person will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and process refinement as the company continues to expand.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with leadership and alongside our current team, with support during transition, to become fully comfortable in the role. We are looking for someone who is dependable, thoughtful, and motivated to contribute in a meaningful way over time.

This role offers long-term opportunity for the right person to grow into broader financial leadership responsibilities as the company continues to expand.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, timely monthly financial statements
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and full-cycle accounting
• Oversee job costing and project profitability tracking
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Help strengthen accounting procedures, organization, and internal processes
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and financial visibility
• Work closely with leadership to support sound financial decision-making

Experience & Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Ability to manage a full set of books independently
• Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Desire to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility over time

Preferred

• Construction or project-based accounting experience
• Experience with job costing
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Experience improving processes and strengthening accounting systems

Compensation & Benefits

• $75,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience
• Health insurance with 50% employer-paid premium

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
