Senior Accountant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant, based in Richmond, VA. The Accountant will serve on a team and contribute to daily accounting tasks such analyzing data, making journal entries, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payables, reconciling accounts, filing monthly and quarterly tax reports, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards and regulations, and other taska as assigned. The individual will work closely with other departments to support financial operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
• Experience with financial analysis and compliance with financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus)
• A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance role
