SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

<Duties>

• Manage and oversee general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end closing procedures to maintain precise financial records.
• Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and vendor/customer reconciliation.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including regulatory filings, financial statements, and management reports that highlight key insights and trends.
• Support internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and participate in audits for both internal review and external regulators.
• Perform cash management activities such as forecasting cash flows, monitoring bank transactions, and optimizing liquidity.
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational financial health.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues like revenue recognition under GAAP or IFRS standards.
• Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards when working with public sector or non-profit entities.

<Skills>

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and governmental or non-profit accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management systems.
• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation techniques, and general ledger management.
• Expertise in financial report writing, regulatory reporting requirements, and audit preparation.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience in cash flow management, budgeting processes, and forecasting models.
• Technical accounting skills related to payroll processing, account analysis, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
