Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of progressive accounting experience and will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, Communicatin and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions,and cash flow ensuring timely processing and reconciliations.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and monitor expenses, payroll, and other financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in internal and external audit processes.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
• Minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within Kuwait.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage and advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
