Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and providing financial reports to support strategic decision-making. This role includes overseeing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.
  • Review and verify accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other financial laws.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Oversee junior accountants and provide guidance when needed.
  • Coordinate with management on financial planning and reporting.
  • Implement and improve accounting policies, systems, and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong time-management capability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
