About the Role:

We are looking to hire a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, practical experience, and the ability to handle accounting operations independently. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a UK-based accounting/compliance firm, particularly within the accounts department.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ACCA / CMA Qualified
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a UK-based firm (accounts department experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards including FRS 102 and FRS 105
• Hands-on experience in preparing year-end accounts and financial statements
• Practical experience in filing Corporation Tax returns (CT600) via HMRC
• Experience in handling full accounting cycle from bookkeeping to finalization

Required Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (mandatory)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet strict deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership ability and experience in supervising junior staff
