Senior Accountant

The Role

Club Kime Financials is seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in the Ruwi Business District. As a key player in our finance department, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial reporting, ensuring that all accounting activities align with both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Sultanate’s regulatory requirements. We are looking for a professional who combines technical mastery with the ability to provide strategic financial insights.

Core Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing detailed variance analysis and management reports.
  • Audit Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring all schedules are prepared and documentation is compliant for the annual audit cycle.
  • Tax & VAT Compliance: Manage the firm’s VAT filings and ensure full compliance with the Oman Tax Authority (OTA) regulations, including corporate tax computations.
  • Budgetary Control: Monitor departmental budgets and cash flow forecasts, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring fiscal discipline across the organization.
  • Ledger Oversight: Supervise the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, ensuring reconciliation of all bank accounts and inter-company transactions.
  • Omanisation & GOSI Admin: Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate GOSI (Public Authority for Social Insurance) payments and compliance with financial sector nationalization targets.

Professional Profile

  • Minimum 7–9 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity within the GCC.
  • Mandatory Certification: CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Deep proficiency in advanced ERP systems (e.g., Tally, Oracle, or SAP) and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS and the Omani commercial and tax laws.
  • Strong command of English; Arabic proficiency is highly valued for interacting with local banks and government portals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
