We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on financial reporting experience, and the ability to manage and develop a finance team. The role requires ownership of bookkeeping, budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with accounting standards while supporting the organization’s financial operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage and supervise bookkeeping functions to ensure all accounting records are accurate and up to date
  • Prepare, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial performance
  • Generate monthly financial reports and perform financial analysis for management decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and financial procedures
  • Support the development and implementation of accounting and financial systems
  • Lead, manage, and mentor finance team members
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including auditors and management
  • Assist in improving financial controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • CA Inter or ACCA qualified with completed articleship
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience after articleship
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and practices
  • Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in team management and supervision
  • Experience in managing bookkeeping and maintaining books of accounts
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Experience in drafting or implementing accounting and financial policies
  • Strong communication skills, especially written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Experience working in fintech, particularly remittance companies
  • Experience working with a UK-based company
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment
  • Played a role in setting up or improving accounting/financial systems and structures
