Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced, analytical, and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audit coordination, and inventory management, along with the ability to handle multi-branch accounting operations through a centralized system.

This role requires a finance professional who can independently manage complete accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and support management with strategic financial insights.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in preparing financial statements, managing cash flow, overseeing reconciliations, coordinating audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete books of accounts including Sales, Purchases, Expenses, Assets, Liabilities, and Inventory.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including:
  • Balance Sheet
  • Income Statement / Profit & Loss
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor reconciliations, and customer outstanding management.
  • Prepare and monitor bank reconciliation statements and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure accurate inventory accounting and coordinate with operations/inventory teams for stock reconciliation.
  • Handle taxation matters including Sales Tax, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, VAT/GST compliance, and related filings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
  • Ensure implementation of accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
  • Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor business expenses and identify opportunities for cost control and process improvement.
  • Manage multi-showroom/branch accounting operations through centralized financial systems.
  • Generate financial reports and analytical insights for management decision-making.
  • Ensure timely reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency across the finance department.
  • Supervise and guide junior accounting staff where required.

Required Skills & ExpertiseCore Strengths

  • Strong command over Financial Accounting and Reporting.
  • Practical understanding of Audit Procedures and Internal Controls.
  • Basic to moderate exposure to Costing, Budgeting, and Variance Analysis.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA / CMA / CA Inter / MBA Finance will be preferred.
  • 10–15 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience in handling multi-branch or multi-showroom accounting operations is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in retail, trading, manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution industries will be considered an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
