Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations of Charlie Khans and assist with the financial management of the business owner's personal investments and finances

This is a hands-on role requiring strong restaurant accounting experience, excellent knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems, and the ability to provide accurate financial reporting and commercial insights.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Finance (Charlie Khans)

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple restaurant locations
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports
• Monitor food costs, labour costs and operating expenses
• Reconcile POS systems, delivery aggregators and bank accounts
• Manage supplier payments and accounts payable
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
• Produce weekly and monthly management reports
• Analyse branch performance and identify areas for cost savings and improved profitability
• Assist management with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure financial controls and procedures are maintained

Systems & Technology

• Maintain and optimise Zoho Books and related finance systems
• Integrate and manage accounting data from restaurant POS systems and delivery platforms
• Improve reporting automation and financial dashboards
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work

Personal Finance & Investments

• Monitor personal bank accounts and credit cards
• Track personal investments and maintain investment records
• Prepare regular summaries of personal financial positions
• Manage payment schedules and financial commitments
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years accounting experience
• Previous restaurant or hospitality accounting experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of restaurant P&L reporting
• Advanced experience with Zoho Books
• Strong understanding of POS systems, delivery platforms and restaurant operations
• Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills
• Experience managing multiple entities and bank accounts
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and provide commercial recommendations

Preferred

• ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
• Experience with multi-branch restaurant operations
• Experience with personal wealth or investment reporting

Salary

Competitive salary based on experience plus performance-based incentives.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
